Sigtuna is a winter wonderland. Enjoy the snow, the scenic nature and the clean air. Around Sigtuna you find many prepared tracks for cross country skiing and plowed ice for skating. Of course, a traditional walk along the lake shore and the ice is almost as pleasent.
Always be careful on the lake ice. When entering the lake ice, bring security equipment such as ice prods and changes of clothes. Check out the latest ice reports here: vikingarannet.com/en
If you are a beginner, always make sure the ice is safe. Do not enter non plowed natural ice.
And, to warm you up after a well deserved day, spare some time for at least one visit to Sigtuna’s many cafés and restaurants!
