Welcome the library of Sigtunastiftelsen, the home for touching movies and thoughtful conversations. The French movie “The snow on Kilimanjaro” by director Robert Guédiguan is a story of Michel and Marie-Claire, a happy, middle age and politically active couple from the harbour areas of Marseilles. Suddenly, their happiness is changed to misery: Michael loses his job and they are exposed to a brutal robbery in their home. The film deals with moral questions about goodness, reality and solidarity.
The snow on Kilimanjaro was awarded with the European Parliament Luxpris in 2011. The presenters and discussion leaders are Dan-Erik Sahlberg, program manager for Sigtuna Foundation.
