On Sunday, February 19, it´s time for Vikingarännet, the world’s longest ice skating contest on natural ice. This year Vikingarännet runs in an 80 km circular track, with start and finish in Sigtuna town.
The first race starts already at 8 am and 1500 skaters are expected to participate. Come and cheer and watch the race from the promenade and the port in the town of Sigtuna.
Vikingarännet 80 km
- Competition class starts at 08.00 am
- Exercise class without pikes/poles starts between 08.00-09.45
- Exercise class with pikes/poles starts between 08.30-09.45
Halvrännet 35 km, starts between 11.30-12.00
Vikingarännet kortis 15 km, starts between 12-12.30
Percussionists from Samba St. Olof will do the warm up on the ice between 11-12 for the participants of the race.
